The Judicial Districts in Sebastian County have been revised to reflect a March 19, 2026 Sebastian County Court Order 2026-0045 issued by Sebastian County Judge, Steve Hotz denoting the Fort Smith Judicial District shall follow the boundary lines of the City of Fort Smith as it changes, and with the Greenwood Judicial District to include other areas of Sebastian County outside of the City of Fort Smith boundary lines.  The Court Order went on to say the Fort Smith Judicial District shall be subject to and coincide with any future annexation or detachment of territory for the municipal boundary of the City of Fort Smith, hereafter and will supersede any previously dated orders that conflict with this order.  The order was issued under authority granted in A.C.A.§ 14-40-202, regarding territory annexed in a different judicial district.
