Data Update: Address Points, Centerlines, & ZIP+4s

For the last several years, the Arkansas GIS Office has been heavily involved in facilitating Arkansas’s Next Generation 911 (NG911)  transition efforts. As a part of that process, one of the roles of Arkansas GIS Office has been to quality control the critical 911 data used in the NG911 system. It is that effort that provided the opportunity for us to publish an update of this magnitude. This particular update represents the first major publication of 911 address data as a function of this NG911 data processing effort and we would be remiss if we didn’t thank everyone involved in helping update these critical datasets.

Also, this publication includes new values in the Landmark field for all the Counties that had their Address Points updated. These values represent points of interest names that were sourced from Overture Map’s Places dataset. This resulted in the identification of nearly 80,000 addresses/places across many industries and facets of daily life in Arkansas. For more information on that project please visit https://docs.overturemaps.org/

With all that said it is the pleasure of the Arkansas GIS Office to announce that we are publishing an update for  SITUS Address Points for 70 Counties in Arkansas.  The Counties this update pertains to are as follows: Ashley, Baxter, Benton, Boone, Bradley, Calhoun, Carroll, Chicot, Clark, Clay, Cleburne, Cleveland, Columbia, Conway, Craighead, Crawford, Crittenden, Cross, Desha, Drew, Faulkner, Franklin, Garland, Grant, Greene, Hempstead, Hot Spring, Howard, Izard, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Lafayette, Lawrence, Lee, Lincoln, Little River, Lonoke, Logan, Madison, Marion, Miller, Mississippi, Monroe, Nevada, Newton, Ouachita, Perry, Phillips, Pike, Poinsett, Polk, Pope, Prairie, Randolph, Saline, Searcy, Scott, Sebastian, Sevier, Sharp, St. Francis, Stone, Union, Van Buren, Washington, White, Woodruff, & Yell.
