Settlers Joins Agency
The Arkansas Geographic Information Office is pleased to announce that Holly Settlers has joined the agency as its new Administrative Specialist. Holly will be responsible for agency financial transactions, procurement, record management, performing general office duties and providing administrative support to the State GIS Board.
Before joining AGIO, Holly was employed with Cardinal Health Distributions. She was a Customer Service Representative, where she worked in the pharmaceutical division. She placed orders for pharmacies nationwide and provided knowledgeable and courteous customer service to customers and drug representatives.
The office was separated from the Department of Information Systems as a stand alone agency in 2009. Since that time administrative duties were divided among staff. Shelby Johnson, State Geographic Information Officer said, “Having staff handle all the admin duties was taking time away from coordinating GIS. I’m thankful the Governor and the General Assembly paved the way for us to add this position and Holly is going to be awesome. Now the rest of us can spend more time focused on cities, counties and other state agencies who are building data, applications and using the technology.”
Settlers is a native Arkansan from central Arkansas. She received her high school diploma from Joe T. Robinson High School. She is currently attending the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She will receive her Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management in the fall of 2013.
Holly lives in Little Rock with her family. She enjoys spending her free time cooking, reading, and spending time with her family.
