DEQ Water Base Layer Streams

This dataset is derived from the High Resolution (1:24,000-scale) National Hydrography Dataset (NHD). The Arkansas Department of Energy and Environment, Division of Environmental Quality uses this layer as their base water layer and shares this data with the public upon request. The purpose of this dataset is to provide a cartographic representation of some of the waters of the state. It is not a full representation of all of the waters of the state. The lack of inclusion in this gis polyline does not suggest or imply anything about the status of a waterways status.
