    GIS Board Member : Darrell Allen

    Mr. Darrell AllenDarrell Allen is the GIS & Technology Coordinator for the City of Hope, as well as the Floodplain Administrator and Airport Manager.  He began employment with Hope in 1999 after about a year with the NRCS/AR Game and Fish as a Private Lands Biologist.

    Mr. Allen earned his Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Management from Arkansas State University – Jonesboro in 1996, Professional Certificate in Geographic Information Systems from the University of New Haven – Connecticut in 1998, Master of Science in Environmental Science from the University of New Haven in 2003 and GISP in 2014.

    He started the GIS in Hope and is currently the only creator and maintainer of the data.  Darrell has been on the Arkansas GIS Users Forum Executive Committee since 2010 and has enjoyed working with the GIS professionals from around the State.

    Darrell resides in Hope with Sarah his wife and has two children.  He enjoys family vacations/travel and working on house projects.
