Data Update: School Districts and School Board Zones

School Districts and School Board Zones Updated

The Arkansas GIS Office has published updated Public-School Districts and adjoining School Board Zones for newly formed Isolated School Districts in the state.  Act 919 of 2026 created a process to establish these school districts.  Elections to form these Districts were held in March of 2026.  The elections were certified and the Arkansas Department of Education has assigned new Local Education Authority (LEA) codes that are used by the State and Federal government for education administration.   The revisions to the Public-School Districts and School Board Zones are listed in the table below.
