New Data: First Time Publication – ARDOT GPS Control
The Arkansas GIS Office is pleased to announce that we have published a GPS Control dataset maintained by the Arkansas Department of Transportation. We’d like to thank the ARDOT staff for maintaining and making this data available for download via the Arkansas Spatial Data Infrastructure (ASDI).
This data represents over 3,600 survey control marks established and maintained by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT). ArDOT’s work on this survey control dates back to the 1990’s. This survey control is used primarily by engineers and surveyors of ArDOT to support planning, maintenance, and construction of ArDOT’s transportation infrastructure. Each control station in this dataset has either a precise Latitude/Longitude used for horizontal control or a precise Orthometric Height used for vertical control, or both.
The accompanying datasheets can be viewed by clicking on the datasheet field url which directly links to the pdf export of the datasheet as maintained in the ARDOT GPS Control database referenced below.
The database sourced for this information can be found on ArDOT’s Surveys Control webpage here: https://www.arkansashighways.com/surveys_division/ahtd_control.aspx
