Data Updates and First time Publications
The Arkansas GIS Office is pleased to announce that we have updated the Fire Station ADEM dataset that is maintained via https://arfire.arkansas.gov. The arfire portal provides a mechanism for Fire Departments to manage and submit their Act 833 funding applications in support of Fire Protection responsibilities and activities throughout the State. As this portal gains greater utilization it will serve as a significant resource for analyzing Fire Protection capabilities in the State of Arkansas, as well as a resource for citizens to identify the nature and location of Fire Protection in their respective Fire District.
Additional information regarding this dataset can be found at the below product page.
Additionally, the Arkansas GIS Office has added for the first time an authoritative State Department of Corrections/Community Corrections and Federal Bureau of Prisons Correction Facilities dataset, This dataset was assembled from information gathered by the Arkansas GIS Office from the Arkansas Department of Corrections, Arkansas Division of Community Correction, and the Federal Bureau of Prisons. It depicts the locations and includes pertinent attributes about each facility. This dataset replaces the legacy County State Prisons AHTD data that while still currently available is in an archive non maintenance status. For more information regarding this dataset please see its product page below.
