AHTD’s Mapping and Graphics Section recently made an administrative change to facilitate the frequency of updates to the state’s city boundary file. By assigning one of its employees to work full time on plotting and updating, AHTD can “ensure that our information is correct and up-to-date for planning purposes and Departmental use, … [and] share the updated layer via Geostor,” Sharon Hawkins of the Mapping and Graphics section said.
The Mapping and Graphics section receives regular feedback and updates of digital city boundaries from a number of counties and cities, and welcomes submissions from others who have city limit data to incorporate into the statewide layer. For more information, contact Sharon Hawkins at (501) 569-2205.
