GIS Strategic Business Planning Workshops to Take Place Around the State

Arkansas is preparing a Strategic Business Plan for Geospatial Information to help guide the future growth and development of geospatial data and technologies in the state. A vital part of this project is obtaining input and ideas from Arkansas’ vibrant geospatial community. Whether you are in the public or private sectors, or in state, local or county government, we want and need you to be a part of this process.
Please save one (or more) of the following dates to participate in a strategic planning workshop to be held at the following locations:

1. August 17 – Jonesboro
2. August 19 – Little Rock
3. August 31 – Monticello
4. September 1 – Ft. Smith
5. September 2 – Hope

Next week we will send out formal invitations via e-mail that will provide additional details on the workshop agenda as well as a link for on-line registration to these events. The workshops are scheduled from approximately 10am-2pm and will be facilitated by our consultant, Applied Geographics. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
