Municipal Boundary Updates Bentonville, Hot Springs, Magness and Walnut Ridge

In May of 2016 the citizens of College City, and Walnut Ridge in Lawrence County, held a special election on the issue of consolidating College City, and Walnut Ridge together. The election also included a measure for what name the consolidated city would take. Both measures passed with the voters settling on Walnut Ridge as the city’s name going forward. The new boundary becomes effective January 1st, 2017 and is being published in advance to allow utilities, community leaders, state agencies and others to obtain the revised boundary.

The population figure associated with the consolidated boundary reflects the U.S. Census Bureau 2010 value of College City (455) plus the 2010 value of Walnut Ridge (4,890) for a total of 5,345.

This update of municipal boundaries also includes revisions for the cities of Bentonville, Hot Springs, and Magness, Arkansas.
