Gov. Beebe made appointments to the State GIS Board recently.  Tracy Moy and Bekki White were reappointed to serve a second full term. Moy who has served as the chair of the Board for the past year, is the GIS coordinator for the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. White, who is the State Geologist, directs the Arkansas Geological Survey.

The Governor also appointed Jon Sweeney, who is the deputy director of the Natural Resources Commission. Sweeney replaces Earl Smith, who served on the Board for two full terms.

The Arkansas Geographic Information Office acts as the functional arm of the Board, and looks forward to the leadership these board members will provide over the next four years.
