This dataset contains geographic locations for all Fire Departments and Fire Stations in the State of Arkansas. This data was validated by the Arkansas GIS Office with a joint project that included data from the Arkansas Department of Emegency Management's Fire Portal located at arfire.arkansas.gov and Fire Station data shared by Farm Bureau. This data incudes the applicable Fire District in accordance with the Fire Districts layer maintained by the Arkansas GIS Office. Also the Fire Station data includes Department or Station name, County of responsibility, physical and mailing address as well numerous methods of department contact. Additionally the Fire Station data contains the Fire Department ID (FDID) and the interchangeable National Fire Incident Reporting System ID (NFIRSID) that is used by the Federal Emergency Management
