This data set represents the fire protection districts of the State of Arkansas. Arkansas Code Annotated (A.C.A.) §12-10-329, is a section of state law devoted to 9-1-1 public safety and dictates each fire district must maintain an accurate map that is certified by the Mayor, County Judge or County Fire Coordinator and transmitted to the Arkansas GIS Office.
